At the Edgewood Little League Board of Directors annual meeting held on Sunday September 10th, 2017, board elections were held and a new Board of Directors was elected. Chris Gimpl, outgoing president of the league, presided over the meeting where he took a moment to recognize the service of the 2017 Board, several of whom have decided to complete their volunteer service. Gimpl, who is leaving the board this year, reflected on what an honor it was to have played Little League at Edgewood and then come full circle to be it's president. It was a touching tribute.
In addition to Gimpl, the other departing board members representing many years of service to the league are: Rick Fradette, Lori Nohilly, Mark Russo, Joe Guerin, Michele Roalf, Jeff Babin, Mike Nohilly, Tracy Ring and Royal Bullock. We owe them a great debt of gratitude for all of their time and talent that they've donated to our players over the years. Many of them already volunteer in other capacities in the league and all of them are assisting with ensuring a successful transition to the new board.
Returning to the board are:
Chris Murtaugh, President
Ryan Jaswell, Vice President/Player Agent
Mike Ziogas, Vice President - Upper Divisions
Dee Valerio-Matyka, Challengers Division Coordinator
Lastly, Edgewood is run entirely by volunteers. Our administration, managers, coaches and officials are people just like you from the community. While our baseball team operations thrive on our shared commitment to our youth players, we are also currently looking for assistance in a few different areas at the league level. If you are interested in being involved in an exciting volunteer opportunity to benefit the entire community, please send us an email to EdgewoodLittleLeague@yahoo.com
